Saturday Volunteer Day at Hines Park

Join Groundwork Dallas at Hines Park, a hidden gem along Harry Hines Blvd. Help protect the park’s water feature, a haven for migratory birds as well as egrets and heron, by removing litter and debris. RSVP HERE

What we’ll be doing:
- Clean-up along the edge of the pond, in the forest, and along
roadways
- Moving branches and debris from trails
- Pruning and trimming along paths, and beautification throughout
the park
Groundwork Dallas will provide all event materials such as gloves, tools, and trash bags.

Located near the intersection of Harry Hines Blvd and Webb Chapel Ext.
**Additional parking available at Xenco Laboratories parking lot, Hines Park is immediately adjacent**

• What to wear:
We will be working outdoors in areas that may have mosquitoes and poison ivy. Please wear boots or sturdy, closed-toe shoes, pants, and socks that come over the calves. We do not recommend ankle socks, yoga pants, or leggings.

• Other personal items to bring:
Water bottle(s), sunscreen, bug repellent, sunglasses, and snacks

Groundwork Dallas will offer water coolers and additional safety and first aid materials.

All volunteers must sign a waiver upon arrival.

Please note, our volunteer events are held outside and are dependent on weather conditions. We make every effort to make cancelation decisions by 3:00 pm on Friday. We will communicate any cancellations, or changes, through MeetUp and our email list.
